RESORTS
Located about 12 miles from the northern side of Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand is the island of Koh Phangan. Being generally much more quieter and laid back than Koh Samui, with the exception of the Full Moon party that attracts every month around 5 - 10,000 visitors come on the island for the infamous full moon in Haad Rin.
For accommodation at Haad Yao, have a look at Sandy Bay Phangan, all of the bungalows are serviced every day and as one of the original places on Phangan they understand the standards expected by guests.
There are roads to Had Rin, but you have been warned that the roads are not in the greatest condition and only if you are a confident motorcycle driver then don't attempt to get to HaadRin, as most accidents involving motorcycles happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorbike at the 7/11 at BaanTai and pay about 40 Baht for a pickup over the hills to Haad Rin.
Surrounded by crystal clear waters, Kho Phangan changed in the grown into a divers top destination in Thailand.
Kohphangan is a beautiful Koh Phangan is just perfect, as well.
Another not bad option for accommodation is Sunset Cove Resort, because it's ideal suited for diverse types of guests. It's perfect for newly-married couples on holiday and young families or several people as well.
Haad Rin more than 20 years ago. They enjoyed the Haad Rin East Side and from the beach.
Searching for accommodation in advance for dates suchlike Christmas Day and full moon party times can be a useful advise. Resorts suchlike Sunset Cove Phangan was initially visited by backpacking hippies about twentyfive years ago, Phangan was inhabited for more than 2000 years ago by sea gypsies originating from the Malayan Peninsula. The area was some time later swarmed by Chinese migrants many of them originating from the province Hainan fleeing their country.
