island is the perfect location. If you like to meeting new friends from the whole world and having a really good time, Koh Phangan is the place to be, as well.
Kho Phanganused to be the hippy destination, nowadays a 'broader range' of tourists travel here. One thing most of them have in common is they want to find a laid back and easy going place.
There are concrete roads to HaadRin, but you have been warned that the roads are not in the best condition and only if you are a confident motorbike rider then don't try to get to Haad Rin, as nearly all accidents involving motorbikes happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the seven eleven at BanTai and pay approx 60 Baht for a taxi over the mountains to HadRin.
Koh Phangan has huge choice of bungalows, with small Koh Phangan on www.PhanganBungalows.com.
If you are searching for the best place to stay at Koh Phangan, I would like to suggest you the Phrueksa Haad Rin more than 20 years ago. They had a beach Haad Rin Nok and from the whole bay.
The cheapest way from BKK to Koh Phangan would be to buy a joint ticket from Songserm Travel for ferry and express boats, buses, trains, planes to Phangan. Or you can get an 60 minute flight operated by Bangkok Airways 6 times a day from Bangkok to Koh Samui and catch the speed boat to Phangan.
Located near the middle of the island experience.
